Hearing Loss & Relationships: Overcoming Challenges with Spouses, Family and Friends
This interactive webinar by Eric Brody and Julie Hayes-Nadler of the Santa Barbara Chapter Association Late Deafened Adults (ALDA.org) will discuss the everyday challenges that can arise in Deaf-hearing relationships, including communication, advocacy, safety, intimacy, and family or group dynamics. Through real-life examples, practical strategies, and group discussion, participants will learn ways to improve understanding, communication, and connection between Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing people. Since this webinar is about relationships, you are encouraged to invite`your hearing family and friends to join this webinar by sharing this notice.
The webinar will be hosted with the Austin, Texas ALDA Chapter and a great opportunity to meet many new people and family who are losing their hearing or Deaf and ask questions on how to overcome these challenges.
